Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site or our games. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use them with a parent or guardian's permission.

2. Licence to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play our games on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted stay with us.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or modify a game, except where local law expressly permits it.
• Cheat, exploit bugs for advantage, or use automation, bots or modified clients.
• Redistribute, resell or sublicense our games or their assets.
• Use our name, logo or artwork in a way that suggests we endorse you.

4. Purchases and virtual items

Any in-app purchase is processed by the store you bought it from — Google Play or the App Store — under that store's own terms, and refunds follow that store's refund policy. Virtual items are a licence to use them inside the game — they have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be changed or discontinued as the game evolves.

5. Intellectual property

The games, their code, art, music, characters and the CEGA name and logo are owned by CEGA Games and protected by copyright and trademark law. Creating videos, streams and screenshots of our games for non-commercial or monetised content-creator channels is welcome and permitted, provided you do not claim ownership of the game itself.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend or discontinue a game or any of its features at any time. We will try to give notice where a change materially affects players, but we cannot guarantee any game will remain available indefinitely.

7. Disclaimer

Our games and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that a game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our games or this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the game.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the studio is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. TODO: name the jurisdiction before publishing.
